Skylar Townsend’s Record Release Show

Skylar Townsend (Finan) is releasing her long anticipated debut record, ‘Hit The Ground Runnin’!  Recorded in 2024 and 2025 at Holiday Heart Studio in South St. Louis, the record produced by Skylar, Sam Golden, and Ryan Koenig features an all-star line up of beloved St Louis players that bring Skylar’s original material and style to life. Many of those musicians will be performing in Skylar’s band at the release show, including Sam Golden, Ryan Koenig, Kellie Everett, John Halloran and Tim Dulin.

Skylar has been around music her entire life. She grew up attending concerts at The Focal Point and watching rock n’ roll around town with her friends. A jack of many trades, Skylar spent time working in the fashion industry and a hair salon before landing at Yaquis on Cherokee, where she tends bar and books music 7 nights a week. Her passion for music grew and she began singing and writing songs with the help of her growing circle of musician friends. Skylar will truly Hit the Ground Runnin’ with this performance and record release, and it’s merely the beginning of much more to come.

The opening set will feature Skylar’s backing band, all showcasing their own influences in Country, Honky-Tonk, Tex-Mex and Western Swing.
