Focal Point Friends of Old-Time Music are pleased to present Five Mile Mountain Road’s debut performance at Focal Point!
Hailing from the Moonshine Capital of the World, Five Mile Mountain Road brings a relentless energy and precision to Bluegrass, Western Swing, and old time Country Music! Audiences are raving about this powerhouse string-band’s fresh but fiery take on hillbilly music. Based out of Franklin County, VA, the band’s newest lineup features Fiddlin’ Billy Hurt (who has previously appeared at Focal Point with David Davis’s Warrior River Boys), Brennen Ernst, Conner Vlietstra, Trevor Holder (who has previously appeared at Focal Point with The Alum Ridge Boys & Ashley), Josh Gooding, and Austin Janey. While they’re sure to deliver solid old-time and bluegrass music, they can also be expected to mix things up with twin fiddles, steel guitar, and ragtime piano, shifting effortlessly between traditional country music styles. The end result is sure to be a high-energy show that keeps the audience endlessly engaged and toes tapping!
