Beth Bombara and Sam Golden with special guests Minor Gold

June 13 @ 8:00 pm

$20 – $25

Beth Bombara:

Beth is a Focal Point favorite based in St. Louis, who loves taking her music coast to coast and beyond.
It’s not that it’s retro, really, but there is something of a different era about her music – it has an earnestness to it, an organic depth that feels natural and easy.  The Columbia Tribune notes, “Her songs live in the same world as greats like Petty and Dylan; Gillian and Joni, and grow up like trees drawing nourishment from their roots.  But she never, ever sounds like the “typical” artist who claims these influences.

Bombara spent years on the road in other bands before encouragement from peers led her to start writing and performing her own music.  “I never set out to be a lead singer,” she admits.  “I wasn’t comfortable being in the spotlight like that.  I struggled with anxiety and talking into a microphone just froze me up”.  Yet the songs were there. So Bombara slowly started performing her own material, watering the seeds that would grow into her own career.  Her most recent album, It All Goes Up, spent 7 weeks on the Americana Radio charts, garnering stellar reviews from fans and critics alike.  In addition, it has received critical acclaim as Americana Album of the Month in Uncut Magazine, BBC radio spins, and has charted on the Americana Music Association’s top 40 radio chart.

Minor Gold:

Minor Gold is an award-winning duo formed by Dan Parsons (AUS) and Tracy McNeil (CAN) that blends seamless harmonies with sun-dappled folk-rock delivering a timeless sound that’s both fresh and electrifying.  Since releasing their critically acclaimed self-titled debut in August 2023, Minor Gold has garnered attention both in their homeland and abroad. Their unique sound—rooted in timeless folk with rich, evocative harmonies—has captivated audiences worldwide, resulting in international tours and standout performances, including supporting The Teskey Brothers across North America. Their growing reputation was solidified with a Folk Award win at the 2024 Queensland Music Awards, cementing them as one of Australia’s most exciting emerging acts.

Known for their heartfelt songs, free-spirited rhythms, and undeniable stage chemistry, Minor Gold’s music evokes the feeling of open roads and coastal canyons. Their live performances have been praised for their “impeccable songwriting and performances” (Double J, ABC Radio), offering a sound that’s both timeless and refreshingly authentic. In early 2024, Minor Gold took a brief pause from touring to record their highly anticipated sophomore album, Way to the Sun, in Glendale, California with producer Dan Horne (Mapache, Cass McCombs). The title track, released in early 2025 earned high rotation on national radio in Australia and garnered over 200,000+ streams in the first weeks of release with placements on major Spotify and Apple Music playlists.

Minor Gold will tour North America in Spring/Summer 2025, followed by a full Australian album tour in September.
