In addition to his Friday night concert, Dave is offering what promises to be a very interesting guitar workshop: The Art of Arrangement.
The Art of Arrangement is a hands-on workshop for both soloists and groups. We’ll talk about some of the pitfalls, some of the things I do in making an arrangement, both as a sideman and as a soloist.
Some of the things we’ll discuss are:
- What key should I (we) play it in?
- Using octaves and modulations.
- Keeping it interesting in a set.
Please bring your instruments and something you’re working on.
