Focal Point Friends of Old-Time Music presents Lil Rev

Lil Rev grew up in Milwaukee, WI and was first inspired to play music when he was just a kid listening to his dad’s record collection. His first love was rock n roll (Bruce Springsteen), but a few years later, when he heard Woody Guthrie, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan, the deal was sealed.

For the past 30 years, Lil Rev has toured the Midwest as a troubadour, performing at coffee shops, nursing homes, street corners, house concerts and community festivals both solo and with the Milwaukee group Frogwater. During this time, he played at so many nursing homes, assisted living centers and veterans homes that his friends jokingly called him, The King of The Nursing Home Circuit!

He’s all growed up now, master of Blues and Country styles of harp, teaches Ukulele like a fiend all over the place, still plays a mean blues, he still tells stories and he’s still a good Union Man!”
